"Cherish" ring binder mini album feat. Papericious papers

Hi there, folks!
Hope you are having a brilliant start to the work week! I have a quick project share for you on a Monday morning :)

I have been planning a chipboard mini album for a while now--the kinds with chipboard pages, usually on a binder ring, or held together with ribbons. I happened to be unboxing craft supplies from ItsyBitsy when I noticed how sturdy the box was--I cut squares out of the box, and then, on a whim, peeled the smooth brown paper lining away. Here's what I landed with:

I painted the squares with gesso.

I LOVE how quaint the white corrugated board looked! It absolutely HAD to be a floral themed album--most of my albums are floral anyway...like I needed an excuse. I opted for The Flora Season by Papericious, and used a couple sheets from the Wooden Collection as filler paper. Anyway...you will admit these papers were the right choice for this album when you see the cover!

On the cover, I started with layering the woodgrain and rose papers, added a chipboard shape (which I had painted copper), and layered laces, flowers, crystals from a crystal spray which I cut up, and pearl beads. I went over the cover with a coat of liquid pearls for a light glittered look. The sentiment is a chipboard word from Dusty Attic.

The album manages to stand upright!

It has six pages, including front and back covers.

The best part about making these minis is that you do not spend much time on the base pages--you have all the time (and cardstock) to create interactive features! Which is what I did! Each spread has a photo mat on the left and an interactive fold-out or pocket on the right.

I left the back plain.

There we go...one last look!

I hope you liked my project share! Please leave me a comment if you did :)
I am sending this shabby little mess of a mini album over to the Papericious blog as my entry to their Aug 2016 monthly challenge. The theme this month is "Anything Goes."
If you have not checked out the awesome entries yet, hop right over... and participate too!

More soon!
